Araghchi: Israel burden, Washington must choose realism or strategic failure

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said the West increasingly recognizes that Israel is not an ally but a heavy burden.

He noted that this was evident in June when Netanyahu turned to President Trump to resolve a self-made crisis.

Araghchi criticized Western media for failing to highlight Israel’s vulnerability to Iran’s advanced missiles. He stressed that Iran remains ready to respond decisively to any aggression, emphasizing that its restraint should not be mistaken for weakness.

He affirmed that Iran seeks serious negotiations on mutual concerns, rejects nuclear weapons, and will never compromise its legitimate rights, which extend to future generations.

Araghchi concluded that Washington faces a clear choice: continue relying on Israel-backed narratives, risking instability and strategic failure, or adopt an approach based on realism, diplomacy, and mutual respect.
