Civil Defense Ends Sana’a House Fire Without Injuries

Civil Defense teams in Sana’a Governorate successfully brought under control a fire that broke out in the home of citizen Mohammed Alaw Al-Baidhani, located in the Arthal – Al-Lakhmah neighborhood of the New Sana’a District. No injuries were recorded.

Colonel Mohammed Ali Jaafar, Director of the Civil Defense Authority branch in the Governorate, stated, according to the Security Media Center, that immediately upon receiving the report, firefighting and rescue teams were dispatched to the site. They managed to contain the flames and prevent their spread to adjacent buildings.

Colonel Jaafar noted that the fire resulted in the complete destruction of the house’s furniture. He pointed out that preliminary investigations suggest the fire was deliberately set (arson), and investigations are currently underway to determine the identity of the perpetrator.

The Civil Defense Authority renewed its appeal to citizens and owners of commercial establishments to comply with public safety requirements and to provide initial firefighting equipment, stressing that prevention is the first line of defense for protecting lives and property from the risks of fire.
