Criminal Court Reviews Evidence In “American Spy Cell” Case

The Specialized Criminal Court in Sana’a, headed by Judge Yahya Al-Mansour, reviewed on Sunday the list of evidentiary materials in the case of the defendants accused of espionage for the enemy as part of an espionage cell affiliated with the US intelligence agency.

The court confronted the defendants from the sixth to the tenth with the evidence, which included their confessions, their assignments at the US Embassy, and data and political, security, and economic information they collected aimed at harming the Republic of Yemen.

The evidence also included documents and correspondence extracted from their devices, exchange of information with American officials, and technical reports.

The defendants responded to the evidence by referring their answers to their lawyers, whom the court authorized to photograph the case file after completing the confrontation with the remaining defendants in the next session.
