Government of Change & Construction condemns insult to Holy Qur’an by U.S. election candidate

The Government of Change and Construction has condemned the crime of insulting the Holy Qur’an committed by a Zionist American individual running as a candidate in the elections.

In a statement, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the government welcomed the statement issued by the Revolution Leader, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, regarding this insult, describing it as falling within the framework of open hostility and deep-seated hatred of Zionism—led by its satanic arms (American, British, and Israeli)—toward Islam and all of the nation’s sanctities, foremost among them the Holy Book of God and all sound human values.

The statement affirmed that confronting these repeated and deliberate insults is a religious duty upon all Muslims across the world, foremost among them governments and elites, who must stand united against all forms of insult and targeting of our religion, symbols, and sanctities. It explained that the ongoing targeting practiced by Zionism against Islam and the Islamic nation over past decades has grown more blatant and tyrannical in recent years as a result of the complete alignment of client regimes and Zionist mouthpieces with its satanic projects in the region.

The statement noted that the criminal Zionist aggression and tyranny against the Gaza Strip and its people over the past two years have exposed to the entire world the savage, criminal, and aggressive mentality of the Zionists.

It added that the failure of the nation to act and fulfill its responsibilities in confronting this satanic insult and the Zionists’ violations of sanctities would encourage the hateful and crisis-ridden Zionists to persist in their insults and in targeting the الأمة, its sanctities, and its faith-based identity.

The statement called on all members of the nation who are zealous for their religion and sanctities—foremost among them scholars and intellectual, political, and media elites—to take urgent action and to express, by all means, their anger, condemnation, and rejection of this satanic insult, including expanding the boycott of American and Israeli products.

The government also called, in its statement, on the free and dignified Yemeni people and all institutions to engage responsibly and consciously with the call of the Leader to take action and declare a stance against the repeated insults and the continued Zionist violations of the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and to participate in the million-strong Great March of Rage next Friday.
