Millions in Yemen Protest Desecration of Holy Qur’an in US

Millions of Yemenis took to the streets of Sana’a and other cities on Friday afternoon to protest the desecration of the Holy Qur’an in the US.

The crowds lifted the Holy Qur’an in profound respect and exaltation, denouncing repeated American and Israeli insults to the Qur’an and Islamic sanctities amid chants of anger and outrage.

They renewed their allegiance to the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, declaring mobilization and readiness to defend the Qur’an and confront forces of tyranny, including America and Israel, as well as any plots against the Yemeni people.

The demonstrators called on Arab and Islamic communities to defend the Qur’an and sanctities, join protests, and boycott American, Israeli, and other products from countries that disrespect Islamic holy sites.

They described the insults as a direct attack on sacred sanctities and a provocation to over two billion Muslims worldwide, highlighting the hatred and hostility of the American-Zionist agenda toward Islam and Muslims.

The crowds emphasized that such acts would only strengthen the Yemeni people’s resolve, deepen their adherence to the Qur’an, and reinforce their commitment to follow its righteous path in confronting the enemies of God, His Messenger, Islam, and Muslims.

Meanwhile, a statement issued by the rallies’ organizers, reaffirming their unwavering commitment to the Holy Qur’an and their rejection of any insult or attack against it.

The statement described the repeated and organized acts of desecration against the Qur’an as part of a comprehensive Zionist campaign, holding the United States, Britain, and Israel accountable for these actions.

The rallies’ statement called on the Islamic Ummah to mobilize and express firm opposition and deep anger, urging a boycott of American and Israeli goods to prevent complicity in what they described as criminal actions.

The Yemeni protesters reaffirmed continued support for the Palestinian people and declared their readiness for any future round of confrontation.

It also strongly condemned the gas deal signed between Egypt and Israel, describing it as a disgraceful agreement and calling for its cancellation in order to preserve Egypt’s historical stance and the legacy of struggle of its people.
