Settler Shot and Wounded After Being Mistaken for Palestinian

An Israeli settler was shot and wounded by Israeli soldiers on Tuesday morning near the settlement of Kedumim, located between the cities of Nablus and Qalqilya in the northern West Bank, after he was mistaken for a Palestinian.

The Israeli army radio reported that the person shot near Kedumim was a 23-year-old Israeli Jew, according to the Sanad News Agency.

Israeli media outlets reported that the soldiers mistook the settler for a Palestinian attempting a stabbing attack and immediately opened fire, seriously wounding him.

Channel 14 reported that the settler wounded in the shooting in Kedumim was a mentally disturbed Jewish teenager.
