Shabwah Governor, Awad Al-Awlaqi, affirmed that the recent developments in the governorates of Mahrah and Hadhramaut represent a re-partition to serve the interests of the US-Zionist enemy, away from the Saudi and Emirati local proxies’ agendas
In a statement t to the Yemen News Agency (Saba), Awad Al-Awlaqi said that the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias’ takeover of Wadi Hadramout and sites in Mahra governorate aims both to pave the way for the Israeli enemy to take control of southern Yemen and simultaneously distract the Sana’a forces from preparations for the next round of confrontation with the usurping Zionist entity and its tools in the region.
He pointed out that these tools are trying to directly hand over the ports on the southern coasts, vital installations, and oil sectors in the interior to the Israeli enemy and impose a new reality according to the requirements of the coming battle. This represents the clearest picture of the treason and mercenaries reached by the STC militias.
Al-Awlaqi stated that the Islah Party’s armed factions historically sabotaged Yemeni unity, rather than defending it.
He added, “Today, the Islah Party is now crying out for unity only because they have lost power, influence, and financial benefits, after they were abandoned by Saudi Arabia, which had been fighting this great national achievement for past decades and until today.”
The Governor pointed out that the reduction of Saudi influence and ambitions in Hadhramaut occurred based on directives from the American and Zionist enemy, as part of a plan to redistribute the map of interests in Yemen according to the Israeli scheme, which aims at pressuring Sana’a to accept a peace roadmap that serves American and Israeli interests.
He stressed that Sana’a is aware of this plot and is making precise preparations to confront all potential scenarios and requirements for the next round of confrontation.
“Yemen is immune to the American-Israeli enemy and their proxies, and is fully prepared to defend its sovereignty and unity in the next round of confrontation,” he said.
He further stressed that “the secession project (led by the UAE and its militias) is the most dangerous threat to the Arab nation, as it explicitly serves American, Zionist, and British interests, not the interests of the Yemeni people.”
The governor noted that the crimes committed by the STC militias in Hadhramout and Mahrah will not be subject to the statute of limitations, and the perpetrators will be brought to justice.
He called on the Yemeni people (North and South) to protect their unity and to mobilize to expel the Saudi-Emirati occupation and its mercenaries from the country.
