United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) warned that persistent malnutrition as winter approaches threatens the lives and health of children in the Gaza Strip, confirming that approximately 9,300 children are suffering from malnutrition.
In a statement issued Saturday, UNICEF said that winter exacerbates the spread of diseases and increases the risk of death among the most vulnerable children in Gaza.
According to UNICEF, nutritional assessments revealed that approximately 9,300 children under the age of five in Gaza were suffering from acute malnutrition during October.
