The commander of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), General Diodato Abagnara, confirmed that the attacks launched by Israel on Lebanon constitute a “constant and blatant violation” of Security Council Resolution 1701, and that the daily airstrikes represent a persistent breach of the agreement.
In an interview with Israel’s Channel 12, Abagnara stated that “the daily airstrikes launched by Israel in Lebanese territory represent a consistent violation of the ceasefire agreement concluded between Tel Aviv and Hezbollah under the umbrella of Resolution 1701,” according to Anadolu Agency.
