A damaged residential building has collapsed Monday morning in the Al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza.
According to the Palestinian Safa News Agency, the five-story building — owned by the Al-Shana family — had been previously damaged by Israeli airstrikes and completely collapsed due to intensive bombardment affecting the eastern Maghazi area and other eastern parts of Gaza on a daily basis.
Civil Defense teams said search operations continued for other people believed to be trapped under the rubble of the building.
Since the onset of winter, dozens of weakened buildings damaged during the Israeli offensive have collapsed across Gaza, killing more than 18 people.
