The “Government of Change and Construction” held its regular meeting, chaired by the Acting Prime Minister, Mohammed Muftah, marking the first official public appearance of state leaders since the ‘treacherous’ Israeli strike on the capital, Sana’a, at the end of August 2025.
The cabinet opened the session with a recitation of Al-Fatiha for the souls of the Government martyrs and the martyrs of the Battle of the Promised Victory and Sacred Jihad ” campaign, foremost among them Chief of the General Staff, the late Lt. Gen. Mohammed Abdulkarim Al-Ghamari, who “fell in the fields of honor and dignity.”
The meeting discussed the level of readiness and preparedness for a potential forthcoming confrontation with the Israeli enemy and its proxies in the region, amid escalating regional developments.
During the meeting , the government renewed its condemnation of Zionist violations in the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, and Syria, as well as the grave violation of Somalia’s sovereignty represented by the Zionist entity’s recognition of the Somaliland region.
The Cabinet warned of the repercussions of these actions and what it termed the Zionist arrogance on the security and stability of the region.
Muftah stressed the importance of intensifying efforts to serve Yemeni citizens during this sensitive phase, while continuing the path of general mobilization and preparedness.
He affirmed that Yemen remains steadfast in its “courageous and honorable” position in support of regional security and stability, underscoring the need to keep pace with developments and maintain military and security readiness for any emergency.
He also highlighted the importance of consolidating popular and official integration at all levels.
The Cabinet meeting comes amid escalating regional tensions driven by the expansion of the Israeli enemy’s aggression from Palestine to Lebanon and Syria, alongside moves seen as reshaping security dynamics in the Red Sea and Horn of Africa. Yemeni officials view these developments as part of a broader American-Zionist agenda targeting regional stability and sovereignty.
