Dozens of Moroccans participated in a rally on Friday in front of the Parliament building in the capital, Rabat, in solidarity with the Gaza Strip and to demand the release of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails.
According to Anadolu Agency, the demonstrators, who gathered at the call of the “Action Group for Palestine” (a non-governmental organization), raised banners condemning Israeli practices against the Palestinian people in Gaza.
The participants denounced the Israeli siege imposed on Gaza, demanding pressure to release Palestinian prisoners from enemy prisons.
The protesters also held up banners supporting Palestinian factions, such as: “The Moroccan people stand with the unity of the nation against aggression,” and “With the resistance until liberation and the end of normalization.”
They chanted slogans such as, “Rest easy, prisoner, we will continue the struggle,” “By God’s covenant, we will not betray… Al-Aqsa is in our hearts,” and “Fight, fighter, for freedom, against starvation.”
The ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip came into effect on October 10th, following a two-year-long Zionist war of genocide. However, the Israeli enemy army continues to violate the agreement daily and still prevents the entry of most humanitarian aid into the Strip.
