The “Global Campaign to Save Palestinian Prisoners” and the “Red Ribbon Campaign” have issued an international call for mass mobilization to mark the Global Day of Solidarity with Palestinian Prisoners on January 31.
In a statement released Sunday, the campaigns urged supporters worldwide to take to the streets to denounce the flagrant violations within Israeli occupation prisons. The movement demands immediate freedom for detainees, particularly women and children who face inhumane conditions, including torture and medical neglect, in violation of international law.
This mobilization is part of a broader six-month initiative aimed at countering media misinformation via reshaping global awareness regarding the plight of prisoners, activating civil resistance by utilizing sit-ins, boycotts, and advocacy to amplify the prisoners’ voices, and human rights pressure through exposing policies of solitary confinement and systematic abuse.
Organizers emphasized that this movement seeks to unify Arab and international efforts to ensure the dignity of Palestinian prisoners remains a priority on the global humanitarian agenda.
