Hamas Condemns US Sanctions on Palestinian Advocacy Groups

Hamas issued a statement on Thursday strongly condemning the US Department of the Treasury’s decision to impose sanctions on several Palestinian individuals and institutions active in advocacy and humanitarian relief, describing the measures as “unjust and unfair.”

The movement asserted that these decisions resulted from “Zionist incitement” and serve to exacerbate the ongoing humanitarian suffering in the Gaza Strip.

Furthermore, Hamas called on the U.S. administration to rescind these actions and instead pressure the Israeli occupation to open border crossings and allow the entry of essential aid.

This follows Wednesday’s announcement by Washington imposing sanctions on six charities and an international group, alleging they operate on behalf of Hamas.
