Hamas: Israel violates ceasefire by blocking humanitarian aid

Hamas leader Osama Hamdan said Wednesday that Israel is deliberately obstructing humanitarian organizations and blocking aid to Gaza, reneging on the ceasefire agreement.

He dismissed talk of Hamas surrendering weapons as impossible until Israel fulfills its commitments.

Hamdan criticized U.S. support for Israel, calling on Washington to pressure Israel to implement the ceasefire fully. He urged the rapid delivery of aid and fuel to Gaza and the opening of the Rafah crossing to ease the worsening humanitarian crisis.

He also condemned Israeli attempts to depopulate Palestinian lands in Gaza and the West Bank, stressing that Palestinians refuse to leave despite ongoing attacks. Hamdan denied any leadership vacuum within Hamas, noting the movement is managed by a five-member council.

Since October 7, 2023, he said, Israeli forces—backed by the U.S. and Europe—have committed killings, displacement, and destruction in Gaza, ignoring international calls to stop.
