Three families from the Abu Sbeih clan in Al-Quds were forced to evacuate their homes in the Ain al-Fouqa area of Silwan, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, on Monday, following a sudden collapse that caused a room inside one of the adjacent houses to fall, posing an immediate threat to the safety of its residents.
According to the Palestinian news agency Quds Press, this incident comes after the collapse of a retaining wall on Sunday, which had been a cause for concern. Residents confirmed that they had repeatedly informed the Israeli municipality of the need for urgent intervention, but the municipality refused to take any preventative measures to stop further collapses or to ensure the safety of the residents.
