Israeli occupation forces staged new incursions into the Quneitra countryside in southern Syria on Wednesday, in a new violation of the Arab country’s sovereignty, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported.
According to SOHR, several Israeli armored vehicles moved into an area between the villages of Saida al-Hanout and al-Razaniya in the countryside of Quneitra, accompanied by limited field activity near the lines of contact.
SOHR added that the move comes amid increased Israeli activity along the border strip in the Quneitra countryside, including the bulldozing of farmland, the construction of military roads and the establishment of new observation posts. It said the continued silence of the current Syrian authorities has heightened residents’ fears of a possible expansion of Israeli incursions into Syrian territory.
