Israeli warplanes carried out Friday a series of airstrikes on several areas in southern Lebanon, according to local media sources.
“Israeli warplanes launched an aerial assault, carrying out a series of violent airstrikes targeting the Aqmata Plain and the outskirts of al-Rayhan in the Jabal al-Rayhan area,” Lebanon’s official National News Agency reported.
It added that a few minutes later, another wave of violent airstrikes hit the area between the village of Ansar and the town of Zrarieh, using multiple air-to-ground missiles.
The valley located between the towns of Kfarwa and Azzeh in the Nabatieh district, southern Lebanon, was also subjected to three hostile air raids.
The agency reported that Israeli warplanes flew at low altitude over the city of Baalbek and the surrounding villages. Moreover, two Israeli warplanes also flew at low altitude over the villages of the Tyre district
Israeli occupation continues daily assaults on Lebanon, with UN peacekeepers in the south (UNIFIL) recording over 10,000 violations since the ceasefire agreement on November 27, 2024.
