Parliament Warns Against Al-Alimi’s suspicious and Treasonous Actions

Yemen’s parliament warned against the suspicious movement and treasonous roles carried out by Rashad Al-Alimi, the head of the Presidential Leadership Council, accusing him of attempting to place Yemen under the tutelage of countries of the Saudi-led aggression.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the parliament cautioned against forfeiting the sovereignty of a nation, under the pretext of maintaining foreign guardianship over the Yemeni people, considering every step taken by the Saudi government to be an act of aggression, as its interference in Yemen’s affairs has no legitimacy.

The statement said that all actions by external parties, led by Saudi Arabia under the banner of the coalition, lack any legitimacy to intervene in Yemen’s internal affairs, stressing that any official position regarding a political settlement must be subject to a popular referendum involving all Yemenis.

It called on the government, armed forces, and security services to remain vigilant to protect Yemen’s sovereignty, unity, security, and stability; confront occupiers; liberate all Yemeni territories and islands; and continue resistance until full liberation and an end to what it described as the coalition’s occupation and its mercenaries.

It described Al-Alimi’s announcement of a Supreme Military Committee under coalition leadership as high treason against the constitution and Yemen’s unity, sovereignty, security, and stability, calling on authorities to prosecute him and his supporters on charges of high treason and undermining the country’s unity and security.

The statement urged heightened vigilance and readiness to confront current challenges and counter any moves by the coalition and its mercenaries.

The Parliament reaffirmed that a peaceful solution lies in unity among Yemenis at home and dialogue free from foreign dependence, mercenaryism, external tutelage, and interference in Yemen’s internal affairs.

It called on national forces to unite against foreign conspiracies targeting Yemen’s sovereignty and security, expressing confidence in the Yemeni people and their leadership—represented by Abdul‑Malik Badr Al‑Din Al‑Houthi and the head of the Supreme Political Council—to defeat what it described as failed plots and complete the liberation of occupied Yemeni lands, waters, and islands.

The Parliament reaffirmed that Yemen, with its vast seas, will not tolerate subjugation and will reject traitors, mercenaries, agents, and collaborators, saying recent history offers a clear lesson.

It also stressed that Yemen cannot be divided and will not allow Western or Israeli proxies to gain a foothold on Yemeni land, waters, or islands, warning that any hostile actions would be targeted by the Yemeni armed forces.

The statement added that Yemen’s sovereignty is non-negotiable and that Yemenis are capable of reclaiming their rights through faith and their own strength.
