The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Saturday that its air defense systems destroyed 59 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory overnight.
The ministry stated, “Overnight, our air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 59 Ukrainian drones: 11 over the Black Sea, 10 over Krasnodar Krai, 8 over Bryansk Oblast, 6 over Lipetsk Oblast, 4 over Kaluga Oblast, 4 over the Sea of Azov, 4 over the Republic of Adygea, and 4 over Crimea.”
The ministry added in its statement: “In addition to 3 drones over the Moscow region, including one that was heading towards Moscow (the capital), 2 drones over the territory of the Belgorod region, 1 drone over the territory of the Voronezh region, 1 drone over the territory of the Smolensk region, and 1 drone over the territory of the Tula region.”
