The Somali Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdisalam Abdi Ali, on Monday reiterated his country’s firm rejection of any attempts to forcibly displace or relocate Palestinians.
In remarks to Al Jazeera, the foreign minister said that forcing Palestinians to migrate to Somali territory or establishing a military base there is unacceptable.
He stressed that Somalia would not allow the displacement of Palestinians to its territory under any circumstances, reaffirming Mogadishu’s consistent support for Palestinian rights.
The minister added that Somalia looks to the support of its international friends and partners in efforts to build a unified and stable country.
