The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated today, Wednesday, that “U.S. economic sanctions violate the human rights of Iranian citizens and constitute a crime against humanity.”
In a statement, the ministry affirmed that “the Iranian people will continue the path of progress and development in the country with determination, relying on their capabilities and experience in confronting unjust pressures,” according to Al-Manar website.
It called on the United Nations and its Secretary-General to “fulfill their duties to uphold the rule of law at the international level,” warning against “the serious provocations arising from unilateral coercive measures taken by the U.S. against the international trade system.”
