UN Secretary-General António Guterres called on Thursday for a transition to the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
According to Quds Press, Guterres stressed that the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire means a complete Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, noting that much more needs to be done in Gaza and is not limited to providing food.
He indicated that settlement construction, demolitions, evictions, and settler violence in the West Bank must cease.
Guterres called for increased pressure on Israel, including from the United States, which he described as the country with the greatest capacity to exert such pressure.
