The UN’s humanitarian office (OCHA) stressed Friday the urgent need to allow vital supplies into Gaza without restrictions, amid ongoing Israeli obstacles despite the second phase of the ceasefire.
Spokesperson Jens Laerke noted progress in the first three months, including reopening 36 health facilities and establishing 26 new ones, but said key obstacles remain. He called for unrestricted entry of materials like wood, cement, and tools to repair houses and shelters, as well as equipment to clear debris and prevent flooding from winter storms.
The Gaza ceasefire began on October 10, yet Israeli violations continue, blocking much humanitarian aid from reaching the Strip.
