UNICEF: Schools in Jericho, WB, empty due to settler violence

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Emergency Programs Director, Lucia Alami, said on Wednesday that classrooms in the West Bank city of Jericho are empty after families were forced to leave due to repeated settler violence.

In a post on X platform, monitored by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Alami added, “Last Monday, I visited a school in Jericho. This school previously taught 140 children from neighboring Bedouin communities. Now, the classrooms are empty after families were forced to leave due to repeated violence.”

She stressed that children’s right to education must be protected.
