Spokesperson for Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, Khalil Al-Daqran, warned Saturday that the hospital may stop operating within hours due to a severe fuel and medical supply shortage, threatening the shutdown of critical departments.
He said remaining fuel is insufficient to keep generators running, while the facility relies fully on alternative power amid a total electricity outage, putting patients—especially in intensive care and emergency units—at serious risk, according to Shehab News Agency.
Al-Daqran added that the hospital faces major shortages of medicines and surgical supplies as casualties continue to rise. He called for urgent intervention to provide fuel and medical aid, warning that continued shortages could lead to a health catastrophe and the collapse of essential services.
