Al-Shifa Hospital Director in Gaza calls for rescue of patients from Israeli restrictions at Rafah Crossing

Dr. Mohammed Abu Salmia, the head of Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza, urged today , Tuesday to save patients in the Gaza Strip and to prevent them from being deprived of exiting through Rafah Crossing due to Israeli restrictions.

In a post on his Facebook page, which was seen by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Abu Salmia stated: “Yesterday, 5 patients were allowed to exit, and today 16 patients, which means it will take approximately 5 years for all cases to exit on average.” He emphasized that this is crisis management, not a solution.

Abu Salmia called for the entry of medications, medical supplies, and equipment into the Gaza Strip, confirming their capability to treat patients.

He added, “To deprive patients of the ability to exit and to prevent the entry of medications is a death sentence for them.”
