UN Secretary-General António Guterres stated that the world’s addiction to fossil fuels is one of the greatest threats to global stability and prosperity.
In a post on the X platform, monitored by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Guterres called for the establishment of a global platform dedicated to providing a fair, orderly, and affordable transition plan away from fossil fuels.
