The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) considered the statements of the US ambassador to the Zionist entity, Mike Huckabee, as a clear embodiment of the colonialist mentality upon which the Zionist movement was founded, and reveal the extent of the blatant American bias towards the projects of domination and annexation, in a flagrant violation of international law and the UN Charter, and contempt for the sovereignty of the region’s countries and the rights of their peoples.
The movement said in a press statement today, Saturday, received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), that it has followed the statements of the American ambassador, Mike Huckabee, in which he expressed his absolute support for the illusions of expansion and the Zionist enemy’s control over the Middle East under flimsy “Biblical” pretexts.
It added that the American ambassador’s support for the Zionist entity’s geographical expansion and its occupation of Arab and Islamic lands “from the Nile to the Euphrates” represents a direct threat to Arab and Islamic national security, and an alarm bell confirming that the Zionist project targets not only Palestine but threatens the geography, identity, and stability of the region.
It affirmed that “the Palestinian people will continue to adhere to their firm national rights, foremost among them their right to their land, holy sites, and self-determination,” explaining that these statements will not grant the enemy any legitimacy, nor will they change the historical and legal facts that affirm the illegitimacy of the occupation and its eventual demise.
The movement called on leaders of Arab and Islamic countries to take firm stances that go beyond condemnation, and work to isolate the enemy and confront its schemes that violate land and holy sites.
It also called on the international community to condemn this extremist rhetoric, stand against the enemy, and move seriously to hold it accountable for its crimes.
