The Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, affirmed today, Sunday, that “Iran stands firm and will remain steadfast, and, God willing, will make [America] despair of plotting and causing harm.”
In a series of posts on X, monitored by the Yemen News Agency (SABA), he said: “Americans were present in Iran for more than thirty years; resources, oil, politics, and security were all in their hands—everything was under their control. After their hands were cut off, they want to return, but the Iranian people stand firm and prevent this.”
He added: “Iran possesses many attractive elements: oil, gas, precious minerals, and its geographical location. [America] wants to seize this country, as it did before.”
He continued: “What is the core of the issue between America and Iran? The matter can be summed up in two words: America wants to swallow Iran, but the Iranian people and the Islamic Republic are the obstacle.”
