The official spokesperson for the Russian presidency, Dmitry Peskov, announced today, Friday, that a new round of negotiations to resolve the Ukrainian crisis will take place soon.
Responding to a question from Sputnik agency, Peskov said: “No specific date has been set yet, but it will be held soon.”
When asked about the possibility of holding a new round of Ukraine negotiations in the United States, Peskov replied: “No. I don’t think so; no discussions have taken place on this matter.”
Earlier today, the Russian presidential spokesperson confirmed that work within the framework of the settlement negotiations had been constructive, though extremely challenging.
Commenting on the recent talks, Peskov told reporters: “Work is ongoing. Activities have been conducted over the past two days. The work is constructive, yet at the same time extremely difficult. It will continue.”
