Omani FM: Good progress in indirect negotiations between Iran, US

Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi stated that the indirect negotiations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States, held Tuesday in Geneva, achieved good progress toward identifying common goals and related technical issues.

In a post on X platform, the minister affirmed that the negotiations were characterized by a constructive spirit and that the parties made serious efforts to establish a number of guiding principles for reaching a final agreement.

He noted that the contribution of the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, was highly appreciated.

He pointed out that much work remains to be done and that both sides left the meeting with clear steps in preparation for the next meeting.

The indirect talks took place today at the Omani Embassy in Geneva, as part of efforts to resume negotiations between Iran and the United States.
