Palestinian child injured by explosion from Israeli ordnance in northern Gaza

A Palestinian child was injured this evening, Saturday, in northern Gaza due to the explosion of an object left behind by the Israeli occupation forces.

According to the Palestinian Safa News Agency, Hamad Hospital in Gaza stated: “We received a child with moderate injuries caused by the explosion of a suspicious object left by the occupation in northern Gaza. He was treated on-site and then transferred to Al-Shifa Hospital.”

It is worth noting that Palestinian citizen Aya Rabhi Hammad Abu Hudaid passed away this evening, Saturday, from injuries sustained during a previous Israeli strike on Khan Yunis in southern Gaza.

With U.S. and European support, the Israeli occupation forces have committed, over more than two consecutive years since October 7, 2023, crimes of genocide, siege, and starvation in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of 72,027 Palestinian civilians—mostly children and women—and injuring 171,651 others. Thousands of victims remain trapped under rubble or in the streets, inaccessible to rescue and medical teams.

A ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip came into effect on October 10, following a two-year-long genocidal campaign by the Israeli occupation. However, the Israeli army continues daily violations of the agreement and still prevents the entry of the majority of humanitarian aid into the territory.
