Palestinian prisoner Khaled Al-Saifi, 67, died today,Monday a week after being released from Israeli detention in critical condition.
The Palestinian Prisoners Affairs Authority and Prisoners’ Club said he had been hospitalized in critical condition due to torture, abuse, starvation, and denial of medical care in Israeli prisons. They held Israel fully responsible, citing its policy of arbitrary administrative detention and withholding treatment.
Al-Saifi had spent four months in his last administrative detention and had been detained twice before, despite his age and urgent medical needs.
