Palestinian killed, two others injured in Israeli strike on Deir al-Balah, Central Gaza

A Palestinian civilian was killed and two others were injured Wednesday evening as a result of an Israeli strike east of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.

The official Palestinian news agency reported, citing Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, that the hospital received the body of a martyr and two injured people after the Israeli army targeted a group of civilians in the Abu Al-Aajin area east of Deir al-Balah.

Earlier today, a young man was killed and several civilians were injured in shelling and gunfire targeting various areas across Gaza, alongside airstrikes and demolitions of residential buildings.

Earlier Wednesday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that since the ceasefire on October 10, the total number of Palestinians killed by Israeli army fire has reached 618, with 1,663 injured, in a flagrant violation of the ceasefire agreement.

The Gaza ceasefire came into effect on October 10, following a two-year-long Israeli campaign of mass killings, yet the Israeli army continues to violate the agreement on a daily basis.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, as of Wednesday, the total toll of the Israeli assault on Gaza since it began on October 7, 2023, has reached 72,082 killed and 171,761 injured.
