Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Sunday that “the talks between Iran and the United States, held with the support of friendly governments in the region, were a step in the right direction.”
He added in a post on the “X” platform, monitored by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), “Dialogue has always been our strategy for reaching peaceful solutions.”
Pezeshkian emphasized that “our logic in nuclear issues is the rights stipulated in the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.”
He pointed out that “the Iranian people have always responded to respect with respect, but they do not tolerate the language of force.”
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi considered the negotiations with Washington, held on Friday in the Omani capital Muscat, “a good start, but we still have a long way to go to build trust between us.”
