Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian affirmed on Wednesday his country’s serious commitment to implementing the comprehensive strategic cooperation plan between Tehran and Moscow.
During his meeting with Russian Energy Minister Sergey Sivelev, Pezeshkian stressed that regional countries should expand their relations and coordinate with each other in a way that eliminates the need for external parties to interfere in determining the region’s fate, according to the official Iranian news agency.
He described the current level of relations between Tehran and Moscow as “excellent and growing,” expressing his satisfaction with the accelerating pace of bilateral interactions.
He referred to the numerous meetings he has held with Russian President Vladimir Putin since the formation of the 14th Iranian government, emphasizing that these meetings have resulted in important strategic decisions that serve the common interests of both countries and open new horizons for cooperation.
The Iranian president explained that he personally follows up on the implementation of the bilateral agreements on a weekly basis, and that he has tasked the ministers of oil, agriculture and energy with following up and accelerating the implementation of the joint commitments.
