Rally in Morocco’s Capital in support of Palestine & condemning Israeli blockade on Gaza

Moroccan capital, Rabat, witnessed a rally attended by dozens of Moroccans in support of Palestine and denouncing the blockade imposed by the Israeli entity on the Gaza Strip.

Participants in the rally, organized by the Working Group for Palestine in front of the Moroccan Parliament, condemned the continued targeting of Palestinian civilians by the Israeli entity, according to Anadolu Agency.

The protesters also warned against the ongoing Israeli prevention of humanitarian aid from reaching Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.

The organizers stated that the rally was in response to a call by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) to hold weekly angry marches around the world, rejecting the continuation of the Israeli genocidal war against Palestinians in Gaza.

Participants chanted slogans demanding continued support for the Palestinian cause and condemning the ongoing targeting of civilians by the Israeli army.

The protesters raised chants including: “Oh fighter, march with the flood until liberation,” “We are all Palestine,” and “We are all Gaza.”

They also waved Palestinian flags and displayed banners reading: “Against Zionist crimes… A year of solidarity and struggle,” “The Moroccan people support the unity of the nation against aggression… With the resistance until liberation , the rejection of normalization,” and “Stop the genocide and starvation in Gaza.”

With U.S. and European support, the Israeli army has, over more than two continuous years since October 7, 2023, committed acts of genocide, siege, and starvation in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the martyrdom of 71,851 Palestinian civilians, mostly women , children, and the injury of 171,608 others, as of yesterday, Thursday. This is an unofficial toll, as thousands of victims remain trapped under rubble or on the streets, inaccessible to emergency and rescue teams.

A ceasefire agreement in Gaza came into effect on October 10 following a two-year continuous genocidal war by the Israeli army; however, daily violations of the agreement continue, and Israel still prevents most humanitarian aid from entering the territory.
