Remnant of War Explosion Injures Child in Hodeidah

A four-year-old child was injured on Wednesday when a remnant of war exploded in Yemen’s western province of Hodeidah.

A local source said the device, reportedly left behind by Saudi-led aggression  forces, went off south of Al-Kua‘i village in Al-Durayhimi district, wounding the child, Bashar Mohammed Ayash Maarouf, in his right hand.

The source said the incident underscores the persistent danger posed by unexploded ordnance scattered across residential and agricultural areas, continuing to threaten civilian lives long after the fighting subsides.
