Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem stated on Monday that the Lebanese government’s focus on disarmament is a grave sin and serves the objectives of Israeli aggression. He emphasized that the state bears full responsibility for achieving sovereignty and confronting aggression.
In his speech commemorating the martyred leaders, Sheikh Qassem addressed the Lebanese state, saying, “Stop all actions aimed at ‘monopolizing weapons,’ as the government’s performance is partly responsible for the enemy’s ambitions.” He questioned, “Why doesn’t the government convene regularly to discuss a plan for achieving sovereignty and its timeline?” according to the Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Manar TV website.
