UNRWA spokesperson Jonathan Fowler warned that the incomplete operation of the Rafah crossing in southern Gaza is hindering humanitarian improvements on the ground, leading to further loss of life.
In a statement to the BBC, which was published on UNRWA’s X platform and monitored by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Fowler said that medical evacuations in Gaza remain extremely limited, aid flows are far below what is needed, the health system in Gaza has largely collapsed, and humanitarian needs are immense.
