Hamas: Continued killings in Gaza reveal Israel’s intent to sabotage ceasefire agreement

Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem has affirmed that the Israeli escalation of daily killings against the people of Gaza has not stopped since the ceasefire was announced. Instead, it has been accompanied by a tightening of the blockade, despite the resistance’s commitment to the terms of the agreement. This, he said, exposes a clear Israeli decision to undermine and dismantle the agreement, despite all mediation efforts.

Qassem added in a statement on Monday that this behavior requires a clear and explicit stance from mediators, guarantor states, and the Peace Council, to clarify their position on the agreement in light of Israel’s complete withdrawal from it and its deliberate sabotage of all its tracks.

He explained that Gaza is living under the weight of an ongoing massacre, with daily killings, intensified siege, and continuous suffocation, alongside catastrophic humanitarian deterioration and obstruction of reconstruction efforts.

Israeli occupation forces continue to violate the ceasefire agreement in Gaza through airstrikes, artillery shelling, and gunfire.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, 2025, around 704 people have been killed, in addition to 1,013 injuries and 756 bodies recovered.

Meanwhile, the overall toll since the outbreak of the Israeli genocide on Gaza on October 7, 2023, has risen to 72,580 killed and 172,013 injured.
