The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced a new wave of large-scale missile and drone operations targeting Israeli and US positions across the occupied territories and the wider West Asia region on Wednesday, the semi-official Tasnim News Agency reported, citing the IRGC’s statement.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the IRGC said that coordinated, synergized, and multi-axis operations by the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the resistance front forces in the 89th wave of Operation True Promise 4 were carried out with the launch of more than 100 heavy missiles, attack drones, and 200 rockets across a radius of tens of thousands of kilometers throughout the entire West Asia region and from north to south of the occupied territories against American and Zionist targets.
These combined operations targeted locations in Eilat, Tel Aviv, and Bnei Brak, striking military objectives and gatherings of the terrorist forces of the Zionist regime. According to local sources, heavy casualties were inflicted on the Zionists, the IRGC said.
The statement added that hideouts of the forces of the US terrorist army in Bahrain, comprising 80 personnel, were precisely and directly struck. It also noted that a helicopter unit of the US terrorist army at Al-Udeiri base came under ballistic missile attack, resulting in the destruction of one helicopter and serious damage to other helicopters.
It further stated that the formation of a united front of the Islamic Ummah under the unity and coordination of various fronts against the oppressive enemies of the Islamic world, along with the remarkable cohesion of the Iranian nation, are among the greatest achievements of this imposed war for the Islamic world and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The statement concluded that the difficult and pressured living conditions in the occupied territories on the eve of Jewish holidays, the suspension of medical and food services in the United States, the withdrawal of American soldiers from the region, and rising global inflation are among the outcomes of the delusions of warmongers.
The US and the Israeli regime launched a large-scale unprovoked military campaign against Iran following the assassination of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, along with several senior military commanders and civilians on February 28.
The attacks have involved extensive aerial strikes on both military and civilian locations across Iran, causing significant casualties and widespread damage to infrastructure.
In response, the Iranian Armed Forces have carried out retaliatory operations, targeting American and Israeli positions in the occupied territories and at regional bases with waves of missiles and drones.
