Spain urges EU to suspend Israel agreement over Lebanon strikes

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez called on the European Union to suspend its association agreement with Israel over its attacks on Lebanon.

In a post on “X,” he condemned the escalation, saying Israel’s actions show disregard for lives and international law, urged global condemnation and accountability.

Israeli airstrikes targeted several Lebanese cities, including Beirut, Sidon, and Baalbek, causing hundreds of casualties, according to Lebanon’s Health Ministry.
