The UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Housing, Balakrishnan Rajagopal, said that the destruction can be removed and the Gaza Strip can be rebuilt without displacing Palestinians from their land.

He added, in a press statement on Saturday evening, that 70% of the buildings in the Gaza Strip were destroyed as a result of the Zionist aggression, and that about 70% of the Strip can be rebuilt within a period ranging between 5 and 10 years.

Rajagopal pointed out that the estimated cost of rebuilding the Gaza Strip after the Zionist aggression is estimated at $60 billion.
