The Islamic resistance movement ” Hamas”, confirmed that Al-Qassam Brigades and the resistance ensured that the handover ceremony respected the sanctity of the dead and the feelings of their families, even though the occupation army showed no regard for their lives when they were still alive.
In a press release, Hamas affirmed that the Al-Qassam Brigades and the resistance preserved the lives of the occupation’s captives, provided them with what they could, and treated them humanely, yet the occupation’s army killed them along with their captors
“The Zionist enemy’s army killed its own captives by bombing their places of detention. The Nazi occupation government bears full responsibility, having repeatedly obstructed the exchange agreement,” the press release read.
“Al-Qassam Brigades and the resistance did everything possible to protect the captives and preserve their lives, but the relentless and barbaric bombardment by the occupation prevented them from saving all of the captives.”
“To the Bibas and Lifshitz families: We would have preferred that your sons return to you alive, but your army commanders and government chose to kill them rather than bring them back. And along with them, they killed 17,881 Palestinian children in their criminal bombardment of Gaza,” Hamas said.
“Today, the criminal Netanyahu weeps over the bodies of his captives who returned to him in coffins, in a transparent attempt to evade responsibility for their deaths before his public.”
The Movement concluded its press release by saying: ” We reaffirm that prisoner exchange is the only way to return captives alive. Any attempt at a military rescue or further war will only lead to more losses among the prisoners.”
