A Palestinian man, Ahmed Riyad Awwad, succumbed to his wounds early Friday morning after being critically injured yesterday when an Israeli military vehicle struck his car in Tulkarm, according to Palestinian media sources.
Awwad, a resident of the town of Deir al-Ghusun, north of Tulkarm, was injured along with his wife when an Israeli military vehicle, speeding in the wrong direction, rammed into their car on Nablus Street near Tulkarm refugee camp. Both were transported to the hospital, where doctors later pronounced Awwad dead.
With Awwad’s passing, the number of Palestinians killed in Tulkarm and its refugee camps during the ongoing Israeli offensive, now in its 26th day, has risen to 12. Among the casualties are a seven-year-old child and two women, one of whom was eight months pregnant.
