Interior Ministry: Second Phase Of The Traffic Police Project Launched

Today, the Ministry of Interior and the Traffic Police in Sana’a launched the second phase of the Road Traffic Police Project.

This project is part of the Traffic Police’s transformational projects aimed at providing humanitarian services to drivers and users of long roads connecting governorates.

The inauguration follows the establishment of six centers dedicated to providing traffic and humanitarian services on the Sana’a-Dhamar-Ibb-Taiz routes, the Sana’a-Amran-Sa’dah Road, and the Sa’dah-Al-Malahiz-Haradh Road. The remaining roads connecting the remaining governorates will be expanded in subsequent phases.

 

At the inauguration, Major General Dr. Bakil Al-Barashy, Director General of the Traffic Police, emphasized the Ministry of Interior’s commitment to providing full and unlimited support to the Traffic Police to improve the level of services provided and reduce accidents, congestion, and traffic violations.

 

He pointed out that all centers have been equipped with all the necessary material and human resources to enable them to perform their duties in organizing traffic routes, preventing traffic accidents, and providing humanitarian services to citizens and travelers, while ensuring the safety of road users, their lives, and their property.

 

Dr. Al-Barashi commended the cooperation of the participating and supporting agencies of the Traffic Police, most notably the Ministry of Transport and Public Works, represented by the Road Maintenance Fund.

He emphasized the importance of supporting the participating agencies in traffic safety, as it is a shared responsibility among all state institutions.

 

He urged Traffic Police personnel to sense their religious and national responsibility in providing traffic services and benevolent to citizens and serve them.

He emphasized the need for everyone to demonstrate religious and national awareness when providing services, as well as the importance of evaluating performance, improving weaknesses, and developing strengths.

 

The Director General of the Traffic Police also emphasized that the Traffic Police, with God’s help and the support and attention of the leadership of the Ministry of Interior, will exert greater efforts and energies to improve performance, enhance traffic safety, and preserve the safety and property of citizens
