Hamas Calls for More Arab, Islamic Support For Palestinians In Gaza

The Hamas Movement has called on the Arab and Islamic nations to intensify their efforts in supporting and standing by the Palestinians in the embattled Gaza Strip.

“This year’s Eid al-Fitr holiday comes as our Palestinian people in Gaza, the West Bank and Jerusalem are facing barbaric Zionist aggression marked by siege, starvation, killing and destruction — all taking place amidst disgraceful international silence and strong US support for the occupation,” Hamas said in a statement on Sunday.

Hamas applauded the Gaza people’s steadfastness and resilience, saying they “are facing the siege and aggression with an unbreakable will.”

The Movement also lauded the Palestinians in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and 1948 occupied Palestine, saying they “have stood firm against the occupation through their presence at the Aqsa Mosque and their adherence to the national principles in defense of the land and holy sites.”

It also urged the Palestinians at home and abroad to strengthen their bonds of solidarity and unity and to renew their allegiance to the path of resilience and resistance until they realize their aspirations for liberation and return.
