Palestinian sources, citing medical sources, confirmed on Wednesday that more than 20 Palestinian citizens, including a number of children, were martyred in Israeli airstrikes on various areas of the Gaza Strip.
The sources said: “Eleven citizens were killed and 13 others were injured when the Nabhan family home on Al-Nuzha Street in Jabalia al-Balad, north of the Gaza Strip, was targeted.”
A child was also killed and 22 others were injured when the Junaid building opposite the Sultan Tower in Jabalia al-Balad was targeted.
In the same context, five citizens, including three children, one of whom was an infant, were killed when Israeli warplanes bombed a house in the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.
In the southern Gaza Strip, four citizens were killed and others were injured when Israeli warplanes bombed the Abu Salah family home in the town of Abasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Yunis.
Three citizens were also killed in a bombing of a house in the Ma’an area, south of Khan Yunis.
The Israeli army also carried out a demolition operation on several buildings west of the town of Beit Lahia, north of the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian sources reported: “A house belonging to the Thari family was targeted near the Othman Mosque in the Bir al-Na’ja area, west of Jabalia camp.”
The sources added: “A house belonging to the Abu Zaida family was targeted at the entrance to Bir al-Na’ja in the al-Faluja area, west of the camp.”
Enemy aircraft launched an airstrike targeting areas surrounding the al-Faluja cemetery west of Jabalia camp.
In the same context, artillery shelling and gunfire continued towards areas northwest of Beit Lahia.
It is worth noting that since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation forces began an aggression on the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of 53,573 citizens, the majority of whom were children and women, and the injury of 121,688 others.
This is a preliminary toll, as a number of victims remain under the rubble and on the streets, unable to be reached by ambulances and rescue crews.
